Year 13 Graduation
Students start looking at employment/apprenticeship/university options from Easter of Year 12. They are all encouraged to visit as many university open days as possible. Information is provided both verbally, through a weekly enrichment PowerPoint, visiting speakers from universities are introduced during the our enrichment sessions.
We are very proud of our annual careers/employment fair where the school hosts 40 different organisations including the Russell Group universities, who spend the day here advising and motivating students from every year group.
Students are also given time on various sessions in small groups and 1:1 to complete their UCAS applications and/or CVs and undertake mock interviews.
Oxbridge candidates are also provided with a programme of support, close links with Gonville & Caius college Cambridge on this occasion including mock interviews by a professional in that realm of work.
Information is given to students relating to UCAT or LNAT admission tests should they be required.
Each year some students opt for apprenticeship programmes or gap years. We have a very useful website called Unifrog which guides students through the apprenticeship programme and we welcome a range of speakers to support students.
