Overall, our curriculum is ambitious for all students within our inclusive and multi-cultural setting. We ensure that it is broad, balanced, rich and deep.

The purpose of our curriculum is to give every student the opportunity to meet the high expectations of the school and fulfil their potential.

Key Stage 4

Students follow the National Curriculum. All students study courses leading to a GCSE in English, Mathematics, Science and RS. In addition they will follow 3 other guided choices.

Key Stage 5

In our Sixth Form provision, students will focus on three A level or vocational qualifications. In addition they will follow a PSHE programme and an enrichment programme to develop them as individuals.

Reporting

We assess students frequently  as part of our assessment, recording and reporting system. We report home to parents three times a year electronically  so that parents and carers are informed about the progress that has been made each term.

Chislehurst School for Girls’ Vision is to have high expectations for every student and for our school to develop well-rounded individuals who are ready to take their place in society.

Our mission statement

At Chislehurst School for Girls, we will:
Provide quality first teaching, focusing on embedding the ‘Lumero 5’, catering for all learning styles in
order to enable all students to achieve;

Provide a structured learning experience which will motivate the students to learn;
Ensure that all students have a range of learning opportunities;
Enable our students to develop transferable skills and to become more independent;
Involve the parents in the review of their daughter/son’s progress;
Ensure that these goals are met by reviewing the Teaching & Learning outcomes regularly and by
ensuring that the school structures are effective in enhancing and supporting the Teaching & Learning
processes.
